Our History
Rich Karki Jr, a 1993 graduate of Negaunee High School, founded Karki Drywall Inc. in 1997. Attention to detail and service to clients was instilled in Rich from an early age by his parents, Richard and Karen Karki.
Rich and his wife, April, both grew up in family businesses. Her parents owned and operated (Larry and Lori) Swailes Plumbing and Heating for many years, and Rich parents owned and operated Karki Jewelry. Both thriving companies.
Rich and April have built the drywall company from a small single-owner-operated company to a current 30 top notch employee thriving business. We have been fortunate and blessed to have developed relationships with the area’s top general contractors, custom builders, and homeowners.

Karki Drywall has been fortunate to have had record growth annually for 13 years straight and counting!
This company continues the family tradition with son-in-law Shawn McIntrye in a Superintendent position, Son Ethan Karki as lead Journeyman finisher, Daughter Mackenzie Karki in accounting and office management, Son Jerzee Karki as an apprentice carpenter, Son Cole Karki in training and school for project management, and Zoie Reule in our marketing department.
